Looking for a new Daytona to add on my collection

Hi guys,

I love my steel Daytona very much.
Unlike many people, I prefer black dial over the white dial way more.

It is a very comfortable and good looking watch and I would like to add more Daytona in my collection.
I am not a fan of either rose gold nor yellow gold due to their eye catching personality.

Recently, I found a white gold Daytona with Oysterflex strap on (116519ln) and it is such a beautiful watch.
However, I am worried if my steel Daytona and the 116519ln are too similar looking and I will regret spending so much money on it.
What do you think?

I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you very much.

The picture of 116519ln is from the official website of Rolex

Surely you can make up your own mind...

Chances are, if you're lucky to be in this situation, you're probably a successful individual.  At least successful enough to be able to afford a gold Rolex.  Shouldn't you decide if you want the watch or not and not leave it up to a public committee?  I wouldn't personally own multiple similar looking Daytonas.  But that's just me.  You may like Daytonas more than I do.

I would go for something different, especially after what you said about your preference for the Black dialed one.

Perhaps a bit redundant, especially in WG, unless you have/plan to have a large Daytona collection? ;-)

my 5c

I too prefer the black steel over the white steel....

without knowing you or your colleciton or wearing habits, assuming these would be your go-to watches I would think the wg daytona to be too similar. Since you do not like colored metals, I would look at the platinum. In my opinion the grandest of them all. Alternatively I would try to acquire the WG meteorite Daytona as it has a different feel entirely.

But that is my 5c, you are best capable of knowing what you want the most and what makes you smile! Best of luck

That’s a winter watch…try this one…

Why not go for something a bit different, like one of the early 2000 stone dials?

Go old school.

Big compliment coming from you

I will be the contrarian, but you can't go wrong with the 116519LN in WG. It is absolutely beautiful, as you have seen

I fell in love at first sight with the 16519LN that I sold my stainless white-dial Daytona to get it.
And yes, it's a Daytona, and yes it lhas a similar look to your black dial.
Nevertheless, the black Panda subs on that mezermizingly beautiful gray slate dial is enough difference to justify getting it.
And you like it too, rather than get a RG or YG that you don't prefer.
Good luck with your decision.

I have the white ceramic Daytona 116500LN. Recently got this one too. Hope it helps.
