Hulk or Smurf ?
I love monochromatic watches!
Let’s assume they have the same value, even though they don’t as one is stainless steel and the other is white gold, which do you prefer aesthetically ? Why ?
I love blue
But I would get the hulk, that shade of blue looks too much like plastic to me.
Assuming both have the same value, from horological importance I’ll vote for the Smurf.
Both unique and special as Submariners go, however the Smurf is the “first” ceramic bezel Sub and also the first white gold Sub.
The Hulk on the other hand while again unique, it’s an homage to the anniversary Kermit…
But one can’t go wrong here, it’s a matter of taste and wallet

I like them both — I find both colors appealing — and I do not have any watches with a green palette — but, I would probably go with the Smurf.
I love, love blue…my favorite color…however…
I would go with the Hulk here, I have the BLNR and think that is just the right amount of blue, with the black, and may be in my top 3 watches ever that I have owned, and I have owned a lot of watches…I feel the Smurf is too much of the blue that I love, and I cannot tell if it is exactly the same blue as on the BLNR, but, it looks it to me.
Trading the Hulk years ago is a regret…at the time it was my only watch, but, I think I will get another when prices settle down, I am not paying 18k or 19k for it. In any event, sorry for the long winded response, but, I would obviously go Hulk here. But, must admit, I have never seen the Smurf in person, as I have only seen that one in pictures.
I certainly appreciate the warmth of the metal of the Smurf.
But I find the green dial of the hulk just so captivating. But honestly, I prefer both of these!
Blue. For me . . . all day every day!
If I had to choose only one Rolex this would be it. I am in love with this watch.

I still regret not pulling the trigger when it was around. I think what bothered me a little was that the hands "felt" a bit skinny compared to the dial ...
Go blue.
The green dial in the steel watch could have been timeless without the sunburst dial - just keep it matte for the really good stuff.
They did this with the milgauss as well - it was perfect with the matte black dial - then they go sunburst blue and all of a sudden I’m looking at a tissot prx.
They made the new(ish) polar explorer ii timeless and got rid of the shiny black circles around the indices and went matte - beautiful.
I think I’ll wear my prx tonight
