You should definitely try this model out.
For most people here, every new watch purchase isn't probably their first 😎.
Therefore, the waiting times are (more) bearable. They might even get better, since the market isn't booming … exorbitantly at the moment.

I did try it on some time ago, and I loved it, but it didn't really sing to me in the wrist as loud.

A while ago I reached a point where I became very radical. I'm lucky enough to own a few beautiful watches that I'm very happy with.
One of my rules up until now was: one in - one out. But that doesn't work anymore because I've already sold everything I didn't want to wear anymore (sometimes at a terrible loss, but that's still better for me than hoarding safe queens).
The other rule is: I only buy a watch if I like it 100% and everything is 100% right for me. When I say „100%“ I really mean 100%. 99% would already be too little. 🙏

I consider that the size of my collection is already big enough, not only in number of watches but also in financial terms. Therefore, if I want to get something in, something equivalent has to go out. And this is getting tougher and tougher, as my collection is getting more and more curated in regards to my own taste and "needs" (needs from a watch-nerd perspective 😅).

In my case, the rule about 100% convinced has also to do with potential use. If for some reason I'm not wearing a watch, it could be replaced, even if I love it. This is happening with my YatchMaster rose, which I only use for a few days in summer. Tough decision though, not made yet.

Last tough decision was about my VC Overseas, which I traded at a massive loss because I didn't love it 100%, only 90% 🥺

to consider in advance how often and for what purposes you'll wear a watch. As for selling at a massive loss, I know that hurts. I console myself with, for example: I at least wore the watch for a while. I can use the money to finance another watch. And last but not least: a watch that just sits in a safe and isn't worn is the biggest loss and the most tied-up capital.
