Take a Rolex Submariner 114060, remove the crown guards, change the bezel for a vintage looking one and the dial. And you have the Project X.
Very nice looking, with a lot of Cool Factor, that's for sure.
Now my doubts:
- The fact that Rolex may not accept to service it...
- The price: 27500 USD.
And while we are at it, I would have preferred slimmer lugs...

Maybe it's what I'm used to, but the dial doesn't work with the bezel -- the latter looks more modern and overwhelms the (more vintage looking) dial. As with watches, cars, or anything else, it often comes down to proportions and integration of the various elements -- this one is missing the magic.
Yes, the lugs are much better

Lots of nice vintage inspired options from Tudor nowadays.
Tudor has some hyper attractive offers nowadays. And for this kind of price, you can also go for a Tudor vintage Sub, indeed.
Very interesting. Closest analogy I can think of is the so-called âresto-modâ in car and motorcycle subcultures.
This said, I am loving my 41mm Tudor Black Bay on jubilee.
