Jeff''s wonderful post on the Rolex Cosmograph has inspired me to take some more pictures of my vintage Daytona collection.
The watches are:
ref 6241 Paul Newman dial circa 1968 722 caliber
ref 6239 Gold Tropical dial circa 1969 722-1 caliber
ref 6263 circa 1980 727 caliber
ref 16520 A Series 1999 4030 caliber
The vintage Daytona Collection
The 'Paul Newman' next to the 'Sun King'
When I look at these watches they make me go GAGA LOL.

Rene
if you have a macro picture of your exotic dial, I would be very interested to compare it with mine as they were issued the same year.
Cheers
Jeff
Jeff,
This is the best pic I have LOL. Next project is a decent camera with macro
Basically it is what is called a Mk I dial (the most correct for a 6239 or 6241) . Elongated serifs for wording and the sing along T SWISS T.
What camera do you have?
Regards
Rene
for any PN owner ;-)
I can't see if you have the short or long version of sWISs
Cheers
Jeff
Yes I have to improve my camera and lighting skills hehe.
I have the long version of the T SWISS T as per Stephano's book.
Regards
Rene
