Okay I did it, I went out an ordered a Deepsea now I just hope that it comes in before christmas.
It's really lovely, the moment I tried it on in the shop I just fell in love with it. rather than buying it on the spot, I called my regular supplier an ordered it. I'm kind of a faithful guy when it comes to sourcing my watches.
Congratulations George, I went shopping, saw it , went in and out with it,

It was not planned, just a compensation for work stress, I suppose
I do not regret it and wear it as a tool.
Post some photos when you have it
Cheers
Luc
There you go, I have the same problem "lots of stress" and I definitly like you way of deeling with it. "Go out and buy a watch".
To bad they didn't have it on the shelf, but with luck mine will come in before christmas and in any event I have the patience to waite.
Clearly this is advice that we should share more broadly. You are feeling the stress and have been working hard, then the solution is to go out and buy a watch possibly the one you have always wanted.
By the way I like the like "Vailant" model that you presented the watch on. Bet not many people would have recognized it.
In any event, I wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year.
I will post pictures the day I receive my Deep Sea.
Well in the first shop I could have had it immediately, but they aren't my regular AD. They explained to me that from time to time they keep a sought after model and put it in the window rather than reserve it for a client. in this manner they hope attract new clients, which is how I was able to land myself my JLC tribute to Polaris 68.
I do prefer my regular AD though which is why I called him to find out if he had one. The response was that he had used up all his quota for the year, but was nevertheless expecting to receive one before christmas and said that he would keep it for me.
It's not easy to find one in Paris is my experience.
