Sotheby's is selling this Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer, in an online auction that starts tomorrow, March 4.
I saw the watch "in the metal" a few days ago and just published a posting covering the history of the Seafarers, the specifications of this model (Reference 2446 screw-back), and the details of the "Barn Car" watch being sold by Sotheby's -- http://www.onthedash.com/noteworthy-abercrombie-seafarer-2446/

I am amazed that the case, which obviously has had limited use and wear, shows the upper chamfers on the lugs tapering to a far narrower end than some of the guideline 1st Exec. Autavia cases pictured in "the books". Apparently the cases were either not machined very precisely to specification but with wide tolerances or some watch cases altered a bit when reworked in more recent times.
