I was looking at them recently, a bit quirky but despite the date I kind of like them!

But it’s one that didn’t last particularly long. Not sure if it was poor sales or just didn’t fit into the strategy 🤷🏻♂️
Always liked design but day window looked a bit odd to me

Both the date window (and magnifier) and the elongated crown are non-starters for me.

I find it interesting that people are turned off by the date crystal "cyclops" and the shape of it, because the way it's integrated into the design and the case, is part of what makes the watch so unique.
I'm not one that is a fan of a cyclops especially on a Rolex but I found this pretty cool on this watch the way the cyclops and the case are one smooth piece.
There were some later versions with just a flat crystal which sort of ruined the design in my opinion.
I agree about the date window being integrated in to the case.

I still remember the first time I saw one on a colleague's wrist in the office. I was still a watch novice at that time and I was completely taken away by the fancy crown and shaped cyclops.
I always liked these Cartier Roadsters, I got close to pulling the trigger a few times but never quite made it.
There are plenty of these available from what I see and they are incredible value at current pricing IMHO.

The look of Cartier watches are not really my thing for the most part however, this one is sleek. I want.
There are a few Cartier which I really like. This one is one of them. Especially with this dial.

I was very impressed with it when it came out. And you could change the bracelet to a leather strap too to change the look of the watch! I really liked it when it came out! And I thought the Roadster had staying power in the line up - maybe not the same power as Santos and Tank, but worthy of being kept on. I didn't like Ballon Bleu, I did like Cle (which they seem to be discontinuing too), and I thought Driven was good, but not great.
