Congratulations!! How I lusted for the platinum model w/ brown dial when it was released.

Is yours is 200 piece limited edition? I want to say the platinum model, which I think was PAM0201, was 50 pieces. Both featuring this in-house movement. There were many conversations in those days about Panerai starting to make in-house movements, and ho

I did buy a 201A matching, in my....

early Panerai days. It was milestone in the history of the Florentine maison and as such, a must have for me. When I saw the first Non Marching, though, I just had to have it! The bubble made me a patient man, and through the years, I just kept a discreet

No confusion at all with these...

They were the 12 first 205s made. Stallone needed them urgently and so it was decided to only change the dial on already existing 201s. All 205s and 207s were made with unsold 201 stock. perezcope.com Cheers Jose

My comment about the 201A was just......

for the record (WatchProSite, in my opinion, is one of the most "civilized" forum, on the net, no fanatics, no factions, just pure unadulterated passion and objectivity!. It's important for me, that people that read us should depend on our...information I

Not being able to get them both...

even when I was wearing a watch daily, I like the 201 NM for 2 reasons: the dial and the history. 201 is the FIRST commercial Panerai. Had I chosen to feed the speculators, I would have bought ALSO the 202, which I consider the superstar of the pair, BUT

Paradoxically....yes

One thing is liking, the other is collecting. The 5218-201a started a new era for Panerai. The FIRST commercial model produced. Now, that's a milestone for the company. The 202a, on the other hand it's simply (I.M.O.) a spectacularly handsome model that h

I wouldn't mind...

the MM and the Demi, to keep company to my whitey and logo NM Couple of words about the logo. I've had both the tweener and now the NM and the difference between the two of them is...gargantuan. As THE model to have for any collector (the FIRST commercial

That would be the pam000 for me..

Mid 2000s. Made an impression on me although the first one i tried on my wrist was a 176. There was something about that logo, the ref number 000, base dial that just got my attention. Years later, around 2015 or 2016, I finally pulled the trigger togethe

Wow, my friend, WOW! Huge congratulations. I totally feel the pain of letting the 201 NM go, but as you said, some sacrifices are worth being made.

The 4 lines MM is one of the watches I regret having sold. I had a wonderful one and I will probably never forget it.
