Another question: I want to add the gold band

So the mistake I made was that WGSA0019 is difficult to add a gold band. It is apparently special order and I was quoted by Cartier that it is an additional $30K. So the total will be $22,700 plus an additional $30,000 for a total of $52,700 before taxes.

I couldn't agree more, so far as deisign is concerned.

As the happy owner of a different limited edition Arabic numeral Santos-Dumont and as a retired design professional, I admire Cartier's longstanding excellence (even supremacy?) when it comes to watch design, and the Santos models in all their forms exemp

One of the finest pieces ever created in modern horology world.

You may agree or disagree with me 🙂🤓 Cartier Santos Dumont Peacock. Ref WGSA0098 Santos-Dumont watch, large model, mechanical movement with manual winding 430 MC. 18K rose gold 750/1000 case, beaded crown set with a blue cabochon-shaped sapphire, sunray-b

Reality completely gone, the insane overhyped Cartier auction market.

Does anyone have an explanation for the insanely high prices most Cartier pieces achieved at yesterday’s Sotheby’sauction? In my opinion, Cartier produces fairly average work …and I don’t mean that negatively. I own a Santos myself, but it’s nothing more

I have a SS Santos Medium in my "someday" file.

Being a square watch they do tend to wear a bit larger than their stated size indicates. Also the medium is no date that I feel is a positive attribute on this particular watch. If you haven't already done so I'd encourage you to read through "Geo" s post

I have a Newbie question about Cartier WGSA0019

I know absolutely nothing about Cartier watches, but as a retirement gift to myself, I am considering getting in Rose gold the WGSA0019 I know it is not a collectable watch, not sure I could find a Crash, Bamboo, Platinum Cintree etc or any 1960-1970 era
