Another question: I want to add the gold band
So the mistake I made was that WGSA0019 is difficult to add a gold band. It is apparently special order and I was quoted by Cartier that it is an additional $30K. So the total will be $22,700 plus an additional $30,000 for a total of $52,700 before taxes. If I had bought the WGSA0018 from the beginning it would have been $44,500. Now does that seem reasonable to anyone??? I have to pay an $8000 penalty for not buying the WGSA0018 to begin with? Is there an alternative way to get that band without paying the extra service charge???
I might just go and get the Santos with the airplane rotor for $5,000 more or just forget it. $8,000 penalty for buying the band later is unreasonable. I look stupid wearing too much gold anyway.
I have a Newbie question about Cartier WGSA0019
I know absolutely nothing about Cartier watches, but as a retirement gift to myself, I am considering getting in Rose gold the WGSA0019 I know it is not a collectable watch, not sure I could find a Crash, Bamboo, Platinum Cintree etc or any 1960-1970 era ...

I am not going to tell you to buy or not buy but I own 2 Cartier de Santos in steel and I love them. The only caution I will say is that it will scratch. Otherwise best of luck on your decision. Patrick

It's huge, but I like big watches. This particular one was already sold so I have to wait until next week for another to get shipped to my boutique. I tried to find the slightly smaller no date version but apparently that was a somewhat limited watch and ...

I have a SS Santos Medium in my "someday" file.
Being a square watch they do tend to wear a bit larger than their stated size indicates. Also the medium is no date that I feel is a positive attribute on this particular watch. If you haven't already done so I'd encourage you to read through "Geo" s post...
