1968 Rolex day-date watch.

This is my very first to own Rolex President watch. I just love the vintage Rolexes. Watch is untouched and I prefer the look of the pie pan and the light Grey dial. Excellent size for my wrist.

The Seamaster Cortina and its lineage

During my visit to the Omega boutique in Geneva , I also tried on the Seamaster 37 mm Milano Cortina 2026 , ref. 522.53.37.20.04.001. Being aware of its rich history and knowing that it has a white Grand Feu enamel dial, I expected to like it a lot. This

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thy pie pan dial’s perfect lines, Textured silver dial catching light’s soft rays, Roman numerals marking out the time. Thy Alpha hands sweep true with measured grace, Co-axial escapement’s steady beat. In

FUN post, Mark!

This was my vote: The Qualité Fleurier never quite did it for me. Not a big fan of the syringe hands and the numbered chapter ring on this particular piece. But the main thing is the pie pan dial. I like pie pan dials, but on vintage pieces:

I went ice-skating yesterday...

...and brought the perfect Datejust to match with its icy-blue "Mosaic" dial. Under the right light this dial just GLOWS. In my opinion there is absolutely nothing in todays Rolex catalogue that can visually touch these old ”Mosaic" dials, there is
