I know you’re a Coupe guy…

But I find the 4th generation Quattroporte with the similar design language to be the most elegant of the generation. And with the final Evo edition (re-engineered by Ferrari) it is also mechanically much more robust and reliable 😊 If I was to choose, I w

Maserati Shamal or Ghibli?

There are two cars which made my heart beat faster in my 30's... The Shamal and the Ghibli. With a preference for the Shamal. The Shamal was issued in the early 90's, while the Ghibli came two or three years after. The aesthetics are very close, with a ta

GP Abarth 4946 (Studio Ghibli)

Was back in Singapore today and managed a quick visit to the Studio Ghibli exhibition at Marina Bay Sands. How lovely to see these creations by Hayao Miyazaki. 🇯🇵 These pictures may look like animae but they are actually 3-D installation art recreations f

Maserati Ghibli from the 90's.

Nothing to see with the Ghibli 1st Generation, of course, which was a monument of sensuality and beauty. Here we are more in the 90's. Angular design, with a touch of sensuality, though. But I have to say that this car came to my mind more than once... Al

Immortalized in a famous french Movie with Alain Delon, " La Piscine ", this Ghibli is just an incredible car. Elegant, sensual, powerful. Credit: Bonhams. And the interior is not bad looking at all, either! Don't you dream of trips with such a car? Best,

Maserati Merak. Something a bit different.

For me, the most desirable and sensuous Maserati is the Ghibli, even more than the 3500 GT, in my opinion. But I can't deny some charm to the Merak, outside and inside. Credit Classic Car: When cars were cars... Best, Nicolas

Love Studio Ghibli. Visited their museum a few years back. Magical place..

My faves are porco rosso, the wind rises, howl’s moving castle, spirited away to name a few but wasn’t too taken with earthsea. On a slightly different note, i was tempted to get that porco rosso seiko but found the chrono too thick. Who knows. Maybe one

The ultimate Maserati

It’s sibling, the Indy, is getting expensive too. A few years ago I found a perfect one with the 4.2 machine in Vienna. The owner wanted 36k €. I didn’t take my chance. My fault. Anyway, the Ghibli IMHO is the best designed Maserati of all times. And a pl

A car of my dreams - The Ghibli

It was not that long ago that you could pick up a tatty example for very little. Those days have regrettably long gone. Image courtesy of the web.
