Annual Calendar Chronograph

Dad saw my recent 5960P purchase and got interested, and my grey market dealer was able to source a 5905R, 30% below SRP! The watch was purchased in August 2023 new old stock. Dad turned 70 last week and he bought himself his first Patek. He’s not really

Thanks!

Now I'm wondering how to move forward. More Nautilus or try a non-Nautilus Patek. Continue discreetly with steel/WG/platinum or try something flashy with RG. Recently, I'm noticing some 5270, 5960, 5905 and 5205, wondering which would be my next purchase.

I love the 5960

And always thought the 5905 was not as attractive. This is a terrible photo of a rose gold one I had to get rid of but it was a really cool watch. I loved the pump pushers. I had forgotten it had that power reserve indicator.

Big love for this Red One 1️⃣

5960 is their important reference and I prefer this over the newer 5905. I find a power reserve indicator, is one of the most useful functions. Recently I also started to realize with no running seconds, I can set time more easily and not have to wait for

Congrats! 5712/1A and 5164A are both iconic Patek sport watches

Either one serves as excellent daily companion. Perhaps I will prefer 5164A a tad more, due to the v useful two time zones function. Besides, you can even use the left flank button to move hour hands forward to correct the dates without using any correcto

The the 40MM Milgauss to the right and the 44MM YMII to the left; 41MM Sub as a bonus. As you can see the Milgauss is very comparable in wrist presence and overall size to the 5905; the extra 2MM in the YMII on the other hand dwarfs the 5905.

It definitely doesn’t feel bigger

I’ll send some side-by-sides later, but the 5905 has very scalloped lugs such that it wears far smaller than a 42mm should.. the Rolexes are extremely chunky in terms of the lug width so they wear no smaller than this 5905 does. I’d even go so far as to s
