Dad saw my recent 5960P purchase and got interested, and my grey market dealer was able to source a 5905R, 30% below SRP! The watch was purchased in August 2023 new old stock.
Dad turned 70 last week and he bought himself his first Patek. He’s not really a watch guy, the deal was good and he liked the color combination. I used to think the 5960P was the best version for this complication but the 5905 in Rose Gold with the sunburst dial is looking just as good.
We upgraded the strap to a darker blue that matches the dial better and a deployant.

I must say I’m partial to the 5960 (I used to have the rose gold/black dial), but both watches are beautiful👌
