Your dilemma.

I would gladly leave these two watches to anyone who is interested and I will go and try to find a 5100P or a 5105P or a 5101P.

Patek Philippe 5100P.

Just for the pleasure of the eyes. Some photos taken in a watch shop in Paris. One of my very favorite Patek reference from this last quarter of century. Best, Nicolas

Like you, I am not the biggest Patek fan. Only a few watches please me, and a lot, like the 5110P, the 5100, the 5070, the 5970, the 5960, and a very few others.

I much prefer some of their older references. As for this 5235, I am not a fan at all. The dial is full of holes. But it is just my personal taste, my friend. And I totally understand that some others can be very pleased with this one. Best, Nicolas

Patek Philippe 5500G, aka " Pagoda ".

Another nice rectangular Patek, even if I prefer the 5100 " Ray Manta ". Best, Nicolas

Patek Philippe 5110P.

From Basel Fair, year 2000. Year 2000 was a great cru, with some good releases from Patek, such as this one and the 5100. 26 years after, where are we??? Best, Nicolas

Patek Philippe 5100P.

A Manta Ray floating in the dark. A two years old photo taken in Paris, of one of my favorite relatively modern Patek reference. Best, Nicolas

Thanks for your beautiful pics.

I know and understand your preference. I might share it. But until I've seen this one in person, I can't tell. I don't care for the 10-Day power reserve of the 5100: winding a watch daily is a pleasure for me and I love the architecture of the 9-90 calibe

Dear Rishikesan,

Your Gondolo duo is simply wonderful and these photos are a pleasure to look at. These two timepieces have style, personality, refinement, elegance and a beautiful movement which is a great tribute to traditional watchmaking. I couldn't agree with you mor

Yes, I enjoyed reading it too!

And I'm glad your preference goes to the 5100P too! Best, Emmanuel
