I know and understand your preference. I might share it. But until I've seen this one in person, I can't tell.
I don't care for the 10-Day power reserve of the 5100: winding a watch daily is a pleasure for me and I love the architecture of the 9-90 caliber.
Also I tend to prefer the cleaner dial of the 5105 and the vintage looking case.
But this is based on photos only. In person I might prefer the 5100, I'm completely aware of that.

And finding nice untouched examples isn't always easy.

The case and crystal on this reference are worth the price of admission (however extravagant that might be) alone. Perhaps someday one will find its way to you... In the meantime, you can find solace in your 5098P.

I am sorry to say I am a bit of a contrarian regarding 5105P. I have seen and tried this watch on more than once. I love the style and execution of the case. I love the movement.
I love the 1930s/1940s stepped case rectangles that inspired this watch. I do like this watch and have been tempted more than once BUT I always find that the dial leaves me a bit cold. For me it lacks the style and warmth of the vintage ones. Patek got it...
Thee atch is definitely a " cold watch " as it is platinum with a white dial but the styling and the edges and the crystal is what sings to me . But thta is why there is a such a large differnce in collectors habits and
desires One persons chateau d'yquem is a another's salad dressing!! J
So, I guess I’ll have to wait until I can
