The undersea creature version is apparently called Type G (Lobster Bracelet). This is a photo of the bracelet for the 2526 taken from the Hodinkee website, and it matches my 2551 version perfectly.

I got the Calatrava 2551g and paired it with the R. This model is the successor to the 2526 and is equipped with the excellent automatic movement 12-600.

The G and R models have different designs for their index and small second. The bracelet model is a bit unusual. 2551G is produced in small quantities This R also has a unique and sturdy bracelet.

To my knowledge, here are the following dial variations for the 3448, divided into four series:

- First series: Enameled small baton or beady / pearl minute divisions ; hard raised enamel for all literature on the dial 1962-1966 - Second series: Beady or pearl minute divisions and small date ring ; hard raised enamel for all literature on the dial 1

Depends; the later 27-460 movement version ref 3433 has a rectangular index at six - imho much worse than square as makes subseconds v busy which I dislike a lot

also same on 27-460 update to 2526 …ref 3428

I agree the 12-600AT rotor is one of the most beautiful

It was the first automatic Patek movement AFAIK, and I imagine this had a lot to do with the effort put into decorating the rotor (the rest of the movement finishing is great as well). The 2526 was also a very expensive watch when it was released, priced
