Patek Philippe Split Seconds Chronographs

Having dedicated a thread to the ref. 5950 & 5951 , I didn't include them here. And this, of course, is a non exhaustive overview, especially for ref. 5004. Best to you all. Ref. 5959 with cal. CHR 27-525 PS 5959P-001 (Credit: K2 Luxury) 5959P-011 (The Ke

Are you left-handed?

If so, then maybe the 5373P could end up standing out for that reason. For myself, I would be disappointed that the 5373P appears to only be a case flipped version of the 5372P. On the 5373P the calendar adjusters are located at 6 o'clock and the hidden d

I have no personal experience here

The 5370p in black dial is one of the best looking high complication watches period- the enamel dial, Breguet numerals, in house split seconds movement. Just superb. The 5373 on the other hand is not a good looking watch IMO. I appreciate the technical pr

Agree...but sometimes we also need to remember....we buying...they selling!!! A stamped case isnt

Being lazy....it’s done so that you get very crisp and sharp lines on the lugs....ha ha...the cloisonné enamel dials are made by little Swiss elves in a hut on montlblanc and in tiny numbers...maybe 100 a year....yeah right ...pull my other foot ....love

I was also told approximately 25 - 50 pieces per year.

I don't think there are 300 - 500 pieces of 5370Ps around. It has been estimated during the 15 year official production run of 5004 less than 300 pieces were produced in all metals. Movement was the main limiting factor on 5004 numbers. I am sure Patek ha

Way more than 150 pieces

I do not agree, I think perhaps to produce a black enamel dial would take 1-2 weeks max per dial per artisan. I reckon 5370's true total output to be around 1000 pieces. The US alone receives upwards of 100-200 spilt second grande comps a year (they are c

5372 = ultra-thin base, 5204 = not ultra-thin base

The difference is in the base rattrapante movements: the CHR 27 is about 2 mm thinner than the CHR 29. With the perpetual calendar modules, it is not immediately apparent that the 5372 is an ultra-thin watch, but 12.5 mm for a perpetual rattrapante watch
