Agreed. 7200 has always been a good looking watch!

The 7200 is the only "classic" piece that isn't overdone. That minute repeater with the blue and orange dial is a tad bit overdone; and I never liked the 6007 dial upon which the new minute repeater is based on; I always said that if the 6007 didn't have

I SO AGREE WITH YOU!

A lot of Patek Philippe designs are not that great. The Patek Philippe 6007 for instance. Nice watch. But, if it didn't say Patek Philippe on it, would people really give it a lot of thought? Would it sell in the quantities it currently enjoys? Doubtful.

It's the strap!

I bought a 6007G-010 from my AD nearly two years ago, but have not worn it much compared to my 5524G. Last week I saw a YouTube video on the 6007G-010 that began by showing the watch without it's strap, and the penny dropped. In a flash I realised that wh

Patek Philippe Calatravas ref. 5000/6000

To be honest, I personally don't fully respond to the overall aesthetic of this line of Calatravas, but I still found it interesting to go through the whole line. My favorite here, would be the first one, ref. 5000G, but it's only a matter of personal tas

Based on what you say,

both Calatravas (6119G & 6007G) and the World Time (5130P) seem to me to be the more appropriate for your collection. As you say it yourself, you don't need another chrono or calendar and would be happy to take some money back. And if I try to read be

Watch Bug - Suggestions for new Patek

Hello All - I'm from NY and just got back from an amazing vacation that included some Swiss Skiing, Geneva and Paris. I got to spend some time at the boutiques as well as the Patek Philippe Museum. I have to be honest, there were times when I got goosebum

Thank you for your transparency and directness!

While I am active in the AP boards, I have not been so active in the PP board. I'm wondering when was the turning point for me overall in my collecting journey - and I think it came down to the below visit to the PP boutique in Geneva after the introducti

Great post and I couldn't agree more...

Do you mind sharing what reference the beautiful platinum (?) Calatrava below the special 5196P Salmon has? Patek's home runs in the looks department have been far and between over the past 10+ years. 5230P is up there, 5740/1G as well, and 5170P was love

Simple is better

This has been a good year for collecting. Recently I managed to pick a 6007G. I really like it, I think the yellow accents makes it really pop. It reminds me someone here that bought one and called it the Singha beer colors (not sure if anyone remembers).
