Add this to my wishlist please.

So, given R has now updated the Submariner line, all at once (unlike past years), as well as the OP line (with a more youthful spirit which has certainly rejuvenated its appeal), tweaked the Explorer 1 and 2 (the former an acquired taste at best, and the

I must confess that...

I was curious about whether the watch came with the 1030 famous movement (Submariner, Explorer...) from the same age. The study of the history of Rolex sport watches from the fifties and the sixties is one of my hobbies. Obviously, the 1030 movement was m

LOL Mike, I laughed so hard to your response of "nonsense unreal amazing" comment 🤪🤣😂

And yes, it is real and yes it is amazing 😉 I've never seen a dial like this one in real life and I have seen literally hundreds, if not thousands of vintage Rolex watches in my life. But again, I have never seen a Milgauss 6541 like this in my life so ma

Great dinner... but ...

Great evening with friends ... in a room apart from a small restaurant that we like. On the wine side, we spoiled ourselves: white Vougeot and Clos de Tart, a few small dishes from the new menu in preview so it was cool. On the watch side, very, very heav

My hesitations

I’ve hesitated because of : 1) the size, that’s why I’ve tried a gold model to check how was this watch on my wrist (17,5 cm). 2) the dial on pictures was crowded but in reality it appears ok for me. 3) I’m hunting others models (Air King, Milgauss : 6541

Rolex Milgauss 6541: A couple of pictures of a grail of mine.

Not in my collection, and most probably never, alas, but we can always dream. This watch has everything I like, a great patina and a nice condition. Here are two pictures I had in stock for quite a long time. The brown honeycomb dial and the pink Milgauss

Wish lists...

As BW2019 is just around the corner, here is my Rolex wish list. Note that I do not own any Rolex watches, but in the last 1.5 years, I have purchased, and am most fond of, two Tudor watches. So without further ado: Obviously, Rolex must address its major

I really need to get a new photo of my white dial Milgauss :-)

I hope the new model Milgauss looks like the 6541 and by looks like I mean identical

Well, the first Milgauss probably was the 6543, issued in 1954.

The difference? The straight second hand, while the 6541 had a lightning second hand. Here is a 6543. Credit picture: Squarespace. A superb 6541 I saw in Paris: Patrice's 1019 in Italy: A black 1019 seen in Paris: 1019 Black Swan. Credit picture: Phillips
