from the top lug to bottom lug (i.e. the 'length' of the watch; I guess something between 45-50 mm). For me the diameter is not as important as the lug not protuding from my wrist when viewed straight on. If the latter happen, the watch is too big for me. Sorry I should have explained it clearer. Bo
