Vacheron Constantin: I liked them all..

For me personally, the blue and the green were my favorites… but in person they were all solid choices. The green was a little darker / richer color than I expected, it would be a toss up for me between the blue and green. Sadly, they wouldn’t let me buy one or it would probably be on my wrist today

Officine Panerai: Try one of the Velcro straps from gunny..

I always struggled to find a strap I liked for the carbotech models, I had Peter at gunnystraps make me a couple canvas black Velcro straps.. they work great and suite the light weight carbotech well

F.P. Journe: Here’s another shot..

The more subtle strap really gives it a different feel.. I tried a couple different colors, the olive strap balances the dial color (vrs the original green strap that makes the dial look a lot brighter)

F.P. Journe: Keeping with the green theme

CSD on an olive strap works great..

F.P. Journe: Beautiful watch..

I’ve been looking for one and it seems like all the boutiques and ADs I’ve talked to don’t have them anymore. Is Journe still releasing any more of these given they are discontinued?

F.P. Journe: Agreed, I think the dial is the same size...

Looking at them side by side, I think they use more of the space on the new model so it feels larger.

F.P. Journe: The winding crown on the rq is thicker..

and the indents are a little smoother and easier to turn. Similar in feel to the crown on the octa automatique. I’ve always felt the original crown at 12 o’clock was thin enough to feel a little sharp.. All in all, it’s a lot easier to wind.
