Now that it's confirmed that you need to have two screwdrivers on either side for both models, I'm inclined to bring it to the AD for any strap changes... I think that's probably past me level of co
Appreciate sharing your experience, AND looks like I will not attempt the change myself. The AD is like an hour drive for me, so I have to decide whether to trust a local watchmaker, but probably not.
I am in a similar boat but purchased teh watch and desperately trying to find a user experience with strap change with no success... anything you can share would be much appreciated!

I own the 5817 and have been looking for some guidance regarding changing the strap. Must you hold one screw in place with a watch screw holder and screw out the other side? Or can you simply unscrew one side at a time? I do own a tool that holds a screw in place but have never actually used it and
I'm new to the forum and can only reply to existing threads. I own a UN Maxi Marine chronometer (263-67) it's one of my favorite watches in my collection. It's been on the rubber strap for years but I recently purchased the alligator leather strap hoping to be able to switch back and forth. Unfortun
