Patek Philippe: Good points!

PP told me it was there first automatic watch where it doesn’t matter which way the rotor moves to power the watch (anti-clockwise too). Very cool! I’ll have to better inspect the papers as it’s in French but how would one buy a watch from an AD of that calibre and not receive a genuine bracelet? Tr

Hi guys, So finally decided to take my PP 3445 Calatrava to Geneva for a general service. Got the quote back after a month and they mention in the document they sent that their jewellers’ note that the bracelet is not from origin. Patek Philippe: Is your band “from origin”?

So I dropped the watch at PP a month ago. A couple days ago got the quote - 1500CHF so pretty happy with that (will post more on this shortly). But they said the band is “not from origin” as in not original. This is crazy as I have the papers and my grandfather bought the watch from a dealer. I know

Rolex: UPDATE

So where I live, the ex head of the local Rolex service center now works at another watch/antique business. I have decided to have it serviced as well. Service and repair will be done with PP in Geneva. I actually ended up speaking to a watchmaker at their salon/head office and I’ll be meeting with him to hand over the watch. He appreciates the backstory and the customer service was superb.
