My favorite dial

Let’s face it—there are many, many watches out now with beautiful dials. From the many remarkable dials of Grand Seiko to the master-level guilloche work of Voutilainen, and everything in between, there are countless wonderful examples. But my favorite, as of now, comes from the geniuses at De Bethu

Watches and Wonders part 1 : 6105G Celestial Sunrise and Sunset

Few pieces each year truly stop seasoned collectors in their tracks—but the Patek Philippe 6105G Celestial Sunrise and Sunset did exactly that for me. After years of following the evolution of Patek’s astronomical complications, I didn’t expect to be this genuinely moved. And yet, here we are—this m

A few live shots of the new Breguet Tradition Seconde Retrograde 7037 . . .

I was really hoping to see the white enamel dial with the blue-coated movement in white gold: Note: Image courtesy of Monochrome Unfortunately, I had to settle for the platinum iteration with the black enamel dial and black-coated movement: I love the return to this smaller-diameter Tradition! But t

After seeing some of the prices of some watches today it almost makes me want to go back to the days I wore jus

Some live shots of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date 40mm . . .

One of JLC’s ‘quiet releases’ this Watches & Wonders: In fact, the boutique’s sales associate was surprised I knew about the piece, which was not on display but hidden in a drawer. I asked if there was a rubber strap option. She said not at this time but it may be an option in the future. She’s

Concerned watch sizes are just too big?

…don’t be! My Grande Calendar is large by Reverso standards, but quite ‘petite’ when compared with the behemoth my daughter wears. Of course, the JLC doesn’t include video games, but still 😄

Longines less famous WW2 non-Weems A-11

Some interesting details the second version of the Longines A-11 . It is more rare than the 1940 A-11 with the Weems bezel. Bellow is 100% correct USAAC issued military specifications flown watch. Perhaps more were made than the 1,200 original Weems A-11, but you don't see these 1941 versions often.
