1815 Chrono Gen II:
Hi all,
Thought I'd post some pics of my 1815 chrono for no particularly good reason 
I was, and remain, a big fan of this reference. Slim, white dial, and blue hands make for an attractive package, although it can be seen as a bit too sober. The Dato is the icon, but the profile of the 1815 make it a much more versatile piece for me personally. However, the gen I Dato would make a fine sibling for the stable... 🤔😅
The later boutique edition and new black dial versions are also very attractive. Nonetheless, I will always keep mine as it's the watch I was marrried in and also the one accompanying me for the birth of my son recently; sometimes the memories attached to watches become more important than the watch itself 😁

I owned the pink gold version (white dial) few years ago but I didn't keep it. First, I'm not really a chrono guy fan and I needed cash to finance another Lange. Enjoy and wear yours in the best of your health. Best wishes Alkiro

one of the best finished chronograph movements in the market. Wearing it on your wedding day means this watch should always be a part of you

Memories and experiences are definitely more valuable than material possessions.
Having said that, material goods also have their fun place
I have the same thought.
No point replacing just for replacement's sake; only worth it if substantial progress is made.

I'm also very tempted to get a nice mechanical Chrono but just cannot decide which one to get. This one speaks to me a lot, if only it comes in Pt...but it will conflict with the Dato. Thanks for sharing these nice photos. Rgds Raymond ...

You definitely should get a mechanical chronology - the "glass city" on the backside are a joy to examine. The boutique edition is good looking, and the new WG/black dial is a stunner as well. Also, there's always the Dato!

I'm definitely saving up for the 1815 Boutique edition. I was on the fence between the VC Cornes de Vache and the 1815 but the Lange movement is breathtaking.

The Cornes de Vache is also a great chrono, but I also have a preference for the 1815. Having said that, I saw pictures of a bespoke CdV (I think belonging to Wei Koh) that were really stunning.

I have thought about flipping my 1815 Chrono for other watches. But like you I have a sentimental attachment to it. And even to this day I am always blow away every time I look at the movement.
Either you took these photos when the watch was brand new or you take extraordinarily good care of your watches...

Many thanks! The 1815 is over 3 years old (or young) now. My bracelet and sports watches have actually taken many beatings and are 'well loved'...but for some reason my strap watches have fared a lot better. I hope I didn't jinx myself here!
I definitely prefer this one to the the dato, it is a pure chrono and much more wearable since its perfect dimensions. This version for me is the best, the blue hands on the white dial are really to die for
Movement wise as always Lange gives its best through the caseback, one could spend hours starring at it. You made a great choice with this watch IMHO. Best.

1815 Chrono is gorgeous. IMHO it is not worth it to trade it with Dato except the Double Split.

The Dato and DS are true Lange icons...it's a silver lining for me that the DS is way too big and hence off any potential wish list!
