A small theme is completed.

 I didn't start out with such an intention but as I liked and wanted each of these pieces individually, I believe I have compiled a set of important/iconic Lange pieces with these three.

Whether they will stand the test of time in the years to come is anybody's guess but I see them as future classics, at least in my eyes. Strong and endearing characteristics define them.

We all know about the successful and iconic Lange 1, which was one of the watches that helped launch the rebirth of ALS back in 1994. Who would have thought a watch with an asymmetrical dial and a big date could garner such accolades when it was first introduced and is still going strong?

Then there's the Cabaret, a rectangular watch that simply oozes class with sheer elegance and endowed with a specially formed movement that is perfectly designed to fit the case.

The Double Split is a one of a kind technical powerhouse that is engineered to extreme precision and the maximum visual appeal. It requires a larger case to house the complicated and beautiful movement but it's not too big by today's standard in my opinion.

Sadly, all three in this particular iteration, are discontinued and no longer in production.

There are others that can fit into this category as well such as the Emil Lange Moon Phase, the Langematik with big date or the Datograph. However, I am content with this trio as it incorporates diversity and is a good representation of the Lange ethos.

I thus would like to honour and pay tribute to the House of ALS for their fine contribution to Haute Horlogerie with these three Langes, that to me represent the essence and soul of the brand when I first started my journey with them.

First, I 'll start with a picture of the two which I think perfectly compliment each other.

Together with the DS. After taking the pictures I realise the DS has a slightly different dial colour which is more blue-black than black. Well, for all intent and purposes let's just say they are all black.

The RL I'm wearing wants to play too, so I've include it in this foursome pic.

Since we are at it, I'm also fantasising on another trio but the chances of completing this set is close to zero.

My apologies for the poor picture quality. Black dials and group shots have proven to be quite an obstacle for me.
