For those who are not or cannot be at SIHH. Neither am I Here are some photos of the apparently Lange's top-of-the-line Novelty of this year. Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar. I assume that many of you can see these photos and press release via Lange...

Thanks for the file,appreciate it but,,,don t know what to say really,without jumping to quick conclusions(I ve learned that!),I find the design quite uninspiring,busy and a bit all over the place.Technically nothing to say Lange at its best even if I am ... 

Dear Mo, We both agree on this: The ultimate automatic tourbillon will always be the GP 3 bridge. Its a timeless icon in my point of view. Happy New Year to you! Edmond

My thoughts exactly! It does seem almost indeed that Lange is following someone else's footsteps; or at least off their own path. As you know, I normally like hidden tourbillons, but even I find this hidden one to be quite surprising. The automatic moveme... 

i was about to mention the same thing! it would have been better if the tourbillon was on the back side like Patek

The tourbillon IS on the back like Patek! Just hate the rotor covering it half the time! Stephen

but isn't it that we can only see the backside of the tourbillon through the back case? if im wrong, please rectify thank you Albert

What you see from the case back is the tourbillon, and even as in Patek's case's where you see it from the back only, it is considered the "front" of the tourbillon,Not the back of the tourbillon. The escapement wheel is clearly UNDER the balance wheel, s...

I like it because it's a Lange, but........... As moc says, in terms of design I'm not sure about it, technically there is no doubt it's just another piece of art. Let's wait to see it live. Thanks. Vte

And the months around the rim, this gives me the feeling that I've fallen into the alternate universe where FP Journe was born and raised in Stuttgardt, or had a heretofore unknown German brother! It isn't a bad piece, but i find the tourbillon kinda usel... 

The day, month and leap year indicators are all very legible, which is an improvement over the Datograph and Langematik perpetuals in my opinion. Aesthetically, I think the design is successful because the character of the Lange 1 design is retained, desp... 

I love hidden tourbillons, so much classier than the open face imho. and the perpetual calendar is really well thought. not in my range but I find it great ! cheers Francois

But limited to a very select group of 100 happy few. Now we'll need a "democratic" version: no tourbillon, handwound, corrector at 10 like the DatoPerp. Everything else remaining the same. At an "affordable" price.

But may be, Lange wants to achieve something different. Regards Ling
