Great observations
Not many people notice the difference between the dials on the Saxonia 35mm and the Thin 37mm. The one on the Thin is indeed richer. As for the movement, i share your same sentiments- having the ratchet and crown wheels visible really adds a new dimension to the 3/4 plate. But even with the entire movement hidden on the Lange 1, the 8 gold chatons, blue screws and jewels really give an impression of a sky full of stars. I find that very romantic as well.
Also, thats a blue Lange strap and not black - it looks black in the pics due to the lighting. Black straps do not go well with this one IMO. Blue, on the other hand makes it much more versatile and fun as opposed to the brown strap which definitely has its charms in a more formal setting.

Very nice shot from the profile. Is winding the watch audible? I read somewhere the movement is making a sound?
Yes it is.
Not loud but i believe since the ratchet wheel is located on the surface the clicking of the wheel is a tad audible.
This might be a reason
I think the tough main spring might also cause the noise. Not directly but the ratchets. But the reward is a long power reserve.
This makes more sense
couple that with a thinner movement maybe? in all cases the noise is barely noticeable.
