Hard to beat a classic
I fully agree with your sentiments on the Saxonia outsize date in platinum. After talking in length with the owner, I found he has several highly complicated pieces in his collection but still prefers the wonderful simplicity of the Saxonia.
It's easy to get swept up in the wonder of a spinning tourbillon, but sometimes the most difficult thing to achieve is a well balanced 3-hand piece.
The Zw is still the apple of my eye after having more than a week to reflect though
