what I meant was that they look quite the same in character. I didn't know the story behind the RL's movement. Thanks for sharing that. So it was created soley for time keeping accuracy? Was it used in other models of Lange? Talking about time keeping accuracy, the RL PLM is also known for that right? A notch or 2 higher in that respect.
Bottom time of my dilemma is I think the RL pt and the 1815 pt are in the same character and same price range (I think right) so I have a hard time picking one I desire more.

Is this a 1815 pt? I never knew lange made a LE for the 1815 b/f it was discontinued. Or is this another model? Am I missing something? Thanks.
Yes, this is the new 1815
that was released at SIHH 2009. The previous 1815 in Platinum had no L/E to it, but this new one is released in an L/E of 500 pieces. For your info the case diameter is 40mm, and the movement is a new one entirely made by Lange ( as opposed to the older o...

Lange creates a new movement for each model
Thus the movement found in the RL is unique, and not implemented in any other model. The RL PLM was also created for even greater accuracy, but no comments on that yet as I just received mine and is undergoing tests. They are totally different again i rei...
