My opinion -- I agree with you both! I would find a "0" superfluous on the Dato, but that may be a cultural difference. Americans don't often refer to the date as "01", "02" etc. As for the two rotating hands, I don't find it displeasing. Again my opinion -- I find it aesthetically technical, in harmony with the general technicality this watch presents, particularly with respect to the movement. (Nico, please don't misinterpret my use of "technicality", though, as an implication that there is lack of elegance. Movement side, I do find the Dato a much more elegant design, with the Duo exuding what I might term a refined technicality (and stunning). Dial side, both are simply beautiful to me.
Re-reading the above, I may sound a bit full of myself. Apologies, but the descriptions are my earnest attempt to explain how both watches come across to me!
