I certainly respect your preference in terms of functionality, but it may not be reasonable to hold it against the watch for not working in a way counter to its design. The time subdial is quite readable and I personally have never found a need or reason to switch the time zones. In fact, it completely contradicts the idea of a world time ring, IMHO.

It's also interesting that none of the watches you mention (including two that I own) work in the way you specify.

It all comes down to knowing how a watch works, and making a personal judgment. I own an L1TZ and I would personally recommend it.
