...is that it is a lot more comfortable on my wrist that I would have suspected, having read lots of opinions about it.
One thing that helps me a lot is that even though my wrist isn't that big, it is flat and wide across the top (where the watch sits) and fairly narrow from top to bottom. So, I can wear big pieces pretty well. At lunch the other day one of my pals who has a wrist exactly the same size as mine tried on the DS, and because of the shape of his wrist it didn't work nearly as well. Luckily, he has his new Dato Perpetual to console him 
It's also fortunate for me that I "hit" one of the holes on the strap just right -- so when I strap it on the strap is neither too tight nor too loose. I have another pretty large PT watch, and I'm between holes on that strap -- so it either flops around or is too snug.
It is not overwhelming at all!

The technique takes a bit of practice, and it really helps to have the right equipment, but at the end of the day it's 97 percent equipment and software, 3 percent me. Fun to play around with these images, though! Best, Gary
That 3 percent is what was called "The Eye"
when I was in marketing a long time back. The best equipment without The Eye still will not render good shots and you'd be surprised how few have The Eye.

Does the movement actually do any noises ...
like a giant screak, cruch or jar when the levers and the clutches engage or disengage? That movement looks so monumental as if it would echo in the case when being activated. Congrats to this magnificent collector's dream watch. Regards Moritz

It's amazing that Photoshop can get such a great photo using only three photographs. My photos come out mostly blurry because there is so much depth to the movement, and when you throw in the side angle, it is very difficult indeed to get a completely goo...
