A spectacular report! Indeed, each time you do these giant reviews of yours, with perfect photos of which i can never dream of posting, i can see why you are a super moderator! Thanks for sharing the dream with people like me who could never get the watch... 

And that's the lawyer who is speaking...LOL Seriously, I hear your point, and yes, like you I prefer some complications intheir mechanical versions, rather than on an Automaitic movement, as for the Chronos, for example. But I also think that osme watches...

Are 37mm too small? It depen ds on the proportions of the watch, my friend. For such a classic and elegant watch like this one, I find this is the perfect size. Look at the PP Calatrava, some are even smaller, and they actually are appealing, dangerously ... 

I am catching the Lange bug as well. Two great pieces you have there, both of which are iconic in their own way.I just wish you would slow down a little bit so that some of us can keep up with the pace you're setting.LOL I hear you have something else on ...

and also for reminding me on what is filed in my mind as one of my "top THREE most wanted watches but unable to get for one reason or another" category. A TRUE gem in every sense of the word. Hope Lange comes out with something similar or better soon enou... 

I concur, Lange should re-release this piece @ 40 mm with a manual wound movement. Cheers! -- Richard.

If you consider the whole volume of this watch, a bigger diameter would enhance the thickness, the bezel, and at the end, maybe it will loose it perfect balance, as it often happens when you amplify an original design. See for example the RO from AP, and ... 

could keep the dimensions in perfect balnace to 40,0 mm. I must admit to liking larger watch diameters, with this IWC 5002 strapped to my wrist today! Best My Friend, -- Richard.

I bid for this watch twice in auctions but was unsuccessful both times. Perhaps I'll get lucky the third time around, especially in prevailing market conditions. Really marvellous work! Best, Sam

As you probably already know, this is my number 1 all time favorite watch. Glad to see it in this great post.

By now you know of my love for enamel dials, especially white with roman numerals! This is one of the pieces that has so far eluded me...I do love it and it is my favourite Lange made so far. A super post, your pictures do it great justice, Cheers, Tim

In the aftermath of one of the greatest posts IMHO,just one more thing.For all of us who like bigger size watches and commented on the size of the LA,I think that a future and possible LE of the Richard Lange in the same spirit of the Langematik A would b...
