The biggest tell to me from pictures...
...is that the subdials are outlined on the L1 30th. In person, the onyx dial is much shinier with no contrasting subdial texture while the original "Darth" has snailing in the subdials.

When you pointed those out, I searched for a good pic of the 30th anniversary version and could see very clearly the differences. I have to agree with Dimardi that your original version is much nicer, IMHO. Still, I’m sure the onyx is beautiful in person ...

I think the outline in my opinion is less appealing than the original darth without the outline and I like the different texture/snailing and slightly sunken subdials for the time and seconds.
I'm recalling the days when much of the Lange 1 conversation was about just the Stealth and the Darth.
Both are classics for those who like the heft. What a great watch!
