The pt version is definitely heavier
Wrist comfort wise I do prefer this RG version to be honest.
I tend to wear my Pt version in the past for a few hours in the office then remove it to rest my wrist and also to admire the movement from the caseback.
We tried our friend's Dato up down in Pt and found that it somehow sat better on the wrist as the weight is more distributed across a wider 41mm compared to the dato's 39mm
Will let you know how I feel about this RG Dato over time in terms of its weight and comfort on the wrist but definitely it is easier on the wrist being lighter

Although I must admit technically, the Dato Up Down is superior with a longer PR and in-house balance wheel/spring. Can't go wrong with any Datos imho. cheers robin

I don't know how many were made - I know the RG Black Dial Dato was produced for around 4 years... less than the platinum version and RG white dial version but I won't call the Dufour Dato a rare bird to be honest. The plat version is very nice of course ...

Yes, the PT version is an icon but this RG -black dial version is simply beautiful. It makes for a wonderful companion to your other Lange ... and the fantastic MB Villeret. Huge congratulations, Gerard
