I have to say I’ve never thought of Lange as being overly subject to hype.
Certainly not like Patek, Rolex, or Journe. That said, I’ve had the opportunity to handle the Striking Time on two different occasions in the past few months. It seems pretty wearable to me (7 1/4 - 7 1/2 inch wrist), and the instantaneously jumping hours...
It looks way too big on me but wears quite comfortably on my small wrist (6"/154mm).

I tried one on the wrist a long time ago during a gtg in paris and visiting the local AD .

No, I've never seen this piece in the metal. Agree though: if it's for you, some good value prices around on it given the original price and the level of complication and watchmaking you get for the money.
