In terms of engineering, yes they made things but the watches became almost like hockey pucks. Bigger and thicker case diameters, which resulted in mostly unwearable watches...
To me one aspect of high horology is miniaturization, and Lange is nowhere near that!
I throw in to the equation Breuer or Vacheron they have way more unique products than Lange.
A brand who tries to be on par with Patek, in my opinion has to do far better than moving moon phases from right to left, or move a power reserve indicator on an existing watch.
To me Lange at the moment copies Rolex and Patek’s business philosophy nothing more.
