In addition to the new Saxonia date, we have a new Saxonia thin - Black Gold Flux. Beautiful, yet very dressy piece. In a world where there are very few black tie events for now...so perhaps an aspirational piece in that regard. I wish it were somewhat sm...  

Yes, they released some nice models recently, but they were limited.

I think these limited editions are designed to strengthen brand equity. Can't fault Lange for that, even if as consumers it is not always a good result.

there is a photo of the movement but not one of the case back because if there was one it would show that the movement would be better suited to a 37 or 38mm case rather than a 40mm case.

I love the copper blue but the 40mm case turned me off. At 37mm it would have been a home run in my eyes.

There are quite a number of Lange boutiques and allocating two to each of them would equate to demand exceeding supply. The 1815 ultra thin honey gold was limited to 175 pieces yet they all sold out within less than a few days irrespective of the relative...

I managed to get the 38mm 1815 ultra thin honey gold and that is about the right. size Not sure why Lange went for 40mm apart from the fact that they are able to charge more than the 40mm Saxonia thin but there is little doubt that all 50 will find owners...

It is more obvious when you put 38, 39 & 40mm cases with a stone dial (aventurine=gold flux) together. What I like the most here is their Tuxedo black alligator strap without stiches ;-)

I am in the same spirit as 3 handers are my favorite these days. Seconds hand gives more life to the dial. Love your Lang & Heyne with their rose golden hands.

The Lang & Heyne is for me the perfect 3 handed watch with a movement that fills up the case back. A hidden gem and great value if one equates price to movement finishing.

Is it the same on your WG version? ...

For a Tuxedo watch with stone dial (aventurine in black in this case), larger the dial is with minimalist indexes volume better the result is, If you saw Jaquet Droz models in different size (39mm & 43mm) you know what I mean.

But still not sure about the overall diameter of the watch. Proof is in the seeing, of course. Black dials always appear smaller. I look forward to seeing some live pictures, but probably won't have a chance to see it in person.

Lange 1 had perfect proportions, don't fix it if it ain't broken!

The blue aventurine model two years ago. That piece although gorgeous, the actual piece is abit too feminine for me.
