It feels like a divorce nevertheless.

Too precious? Too dressy? Too important since it is a grail? If you can wear this without restrictions or hesitations like the one you are thinking, will you miss it when you let it go? I think the barrier to break is understanding why this Lange 1 sat in... 

Because of the movement, the story of it being build together twice, the mathematical logic of it’s dial. Not too dressy, too precious or it being a grail (feeling of the latter was gone in weeks, by the way). If I’ll miss it, I don’t know. I don’t think ...

That watch will not miss you. Move it on to get something that you will wear often and enjoy.

I just might. I’m in sort of denial mode, but I’ll get there 😉

Reason for not wearing it more often? Do you have other watches which are more suitable for everyday wearing? Patek is a great option and I understand well you are thinking about do the trade in it.

The reasons why I’m not wearing it more often, I’ve tried to explain above. I’m an office guy, meaning I can wear dress watches 5 days a week. I tend to wear ever whatever I like, whenever I like. I’ve worn my Lange 1 with suits and jeans and T-shirt. If ... 

Why are you parting with your Lange 1, can put your finger on it? Have you also got a replacement in mind and if so, which one.

keep it for the time being and just add the new one. Then let the honeymoon period with the new one pass and then see how you feel ...

The new strap (I’d go with a medium brown, maybe with some red tones, in croc) will warm it up.

Right now I’m following @vitalsigns suggestion and wear it for the next three weeks. If that doesn’t work a strap change might.

Yes, you should sell the Lange 1. If you miss it you can buy it back. Lange 1 is for me yellow gold with champanger dial. The regular style PP 5235 have a nice dial in the wrong case. The form of the case is very similar to the old reference 3450 (perpetu...
