I got a preowned Cabaret (white gold/grey dial) recently, within the last few years, and love it. The narrow profile is a wonderful change of pace both visually and on the wrist. I know what you mean about that strap, too. Even though I never owned the RG Cabaret, I did pick up 2 of those straps with the red-orange continuous (lug-to-lug) stitching. Those may be the only straps Lange ever made with continuous stitching, which really looks fantastic on a rectangular watch.

Classic, interesting piece with tons of charm. Early Lange (post revival). Bespoke movement shaped to fit the case - rarely made like that anymore. Total class from the front too.
Ah Chico my brother. It seems to me you have answered your own question. There is no greater reason to get the watch than the words
“I am smitten”, “unique charming “ and “I like”. It’s all about the seller. Buy the seller. If the seller is trustworthy and the watch is in good condition what more is there to say?
