I wonder which "composite" AP has chosen.
It may be really everlasting.
No scratches, no deformed shapes, sharpened and shining edges.
I'm curious because they needed something hard but, at the same time, elastic for being able to manufacture it.
Maybe they designed new tools, like that one R&P created for drillin' stone dials.

are more appropriate on a design like the 8HF than the perpetual calendar.

Honestly while I really like the full ceramic RO and appreciate its finishing, this is nothing innovative or technologically advanced.
In the materials I received, AP has not advertised it as that.
We can apply your statement to almost every watch. Now, when the movement in this watch was revised a year ago and added a week indicator, that was a technological advancement, correct?

Those “dots” are the alternate dates, Bill. Since there are no months with 32 days, then they couldn’t separate the 31st from the 1st with one of those dots.
As such, since the 1 of both the 31st and 1st are next to each other, they needed a way to ensure nobody would confuse them as 11 (eleven). This is why I really can’t abide sub-dial PCs, and for me Glashutte Original have the complication absolutely naile...

The price alone is a limiting factor, but for those with the means, this will be a sought after watch with a long waiting list.

Well, if we say "one day"...
then yes, I think so. However, AP seems very vigilant in their treatment of the 15202. I don't ever see it as a reference destined for multiple materials / new dials, etc. BUT, I can certainly dream of some magical combinations

Per Hodinkee the price for this all ceramic QP model is $85,000. Yikes! I thought the watch industry is in a downturn.
