For me thickness is a worst aspect.
I think I could do with the modern caliber, but not with the thickness. Such a pity, such a lost opportunity…

Would be a serious competitor to VC cow's horns. Price is not bad imo but 15mm is too unbearable for me.

My favourite is the possibly the first one, though the Ref 1533 and (Re)master01 are not far behind. It's interesting how Audemars Piguet was able to establish a DNA with this small collection. They all have some common style elements. When sold brand new...

a hand wound movement. But as you say, it’s an attractive watch nonetheless, though far from perfect.

As we take shots at Thierry and Patek for the 'Cube' , you can't help but appreciate AP's obvious passion here, to risk creating a commercial 'loser' in the name of "I just love it." I personally like this watch a LOT, but I can't settle on whether I like...
I have a little more doubts than you, but
this certainly is an attractive watch nonetheless. As for AP’s commitment to it, I think it remains a bit lukewarm as this model is a limited edition only and is strictly kept aside from any main collection.

But they could have done the [Re]master01 thinner with the Frédéric Piguet-based caliber 2385 they use in the RO: the 38mm RO chrono is only 11mm thick. And even the regular Code 11.59 chrono using the same modern caliber as the [Re]master01 is only 12.6m...
