The best variant is this, in gold. It has the lustre to bring out the avant garde design and vibe of the timepiece. Steel is gorgeous too but that brilliance and the shine off the case is sublime in gold.
It may not have been that popular in the day (nor today) but AP definitely scored higher in the adventurous and daring path they have taken in the past with the Millenary and even today, the Code.

I owned the Maserati Dual Time in steel, and the fit and look on the wrist were fantastic. Wish I kept it.

The Millenary collection never seemed sought after, at least in our Community.
Certainly some guys have them, but they have always been few and far between around here, especially compared to the octagons.
