Personally i believe that watch collection should have "genetic diversity".
I understand that Ultra thin is Ultra thin, we cannot change its design nor movement, otherwise it is not the Spiritual successor to the original 5402a ,
however, a clever mix and match of the right colours can change the whole thing around, such as the recent Yellow gold green dial special edition jumbo,
I really love that unique design, because it is a jumbo yet it is very uniquely different

I am not usually a fan of all gold watches, particularly when in yellow
but the blue dial looks really nice and the finish is amazing in the photo. My concern remains how easily it will get scratched and dented. I don't think I will be able to wear it with confidence, even if I could afford it.
Definitely a very classic execution of an iconic watch.

Well, I don't view it like that myself.
The 15202 reference is produced in very low quantities. For those who like the yellow gold, I feel it is a great option to have. Thanks for your input Alkiro.
AP has always been careful with the treatment of this model.
Tantalum has been used here and there. Imagine an LE version in full tantalum case and bracelet... it would be an instant sellout. I credit AP to resist the urge.

The detailing looks very nice too. I'm not really a fan of yellow gold but the blue dial contrasts well, not that the champagne dial is any less. Would love to see it in the metal!
Honestly I cannot disagree
I tend to prefer rose / pink gold to yellow gold in most cases, but on this venerable timepiece, I love the YG.
Didn't they introduce a yellow gold version last year?

That champagne dial +1. For the disappointed, look at the bright side - they
stuck to the DNA. Any tweaking here/there (balance, screws, decoration, rotor, bracelet) wud have meant a tougher decision making.

Personally i prefer the old school golden dial over the usually popular blue this time..... Because we are too used to seeing Royal Oak jumbo with blue dial over the years, let that be stainless steel or rose gold..... just my opinion.... no offence...
