The Diver and the 15202

I love the Diver. It's my first AP, and one which made me understand the meaning of fine craftsmanship. It's rugged, fully dive-certified, and probably the only other watch I have that can rival my Submariner on a trip to hell and back. At the same time, with the right choice of shirts (with generously portioned cuffs), it blends well into a formal business setting too. No bright orange/yellow/red colors. No big numerals. In fact the dial markings follow quite closely to the other watch that has been tormenting my days and nights like a little splinter that keeps digging away, the 15202 extra-thin.

The Diver

However, I'm not sure if I want 2 Royal Oaks at the same time. Will I be ignoring the Diver once I acquire the 15202, like I've ignored my Submariner, Daytona, and Panerai, when I got hold of the Diver (sorry, they were just not in the same league of craftsmanship). The only other watch that managed to wrestle back a decent rotation is my '68 5513, which with its faded lume, riveted bracelet, and wear marks through the years were the exact antithesis of the Diver.

To those who found themselves in a similar juncture as where I am, would appreciate your thoughts on this.

On a separate note, I did explore the Nautilus (the 5711). But at that price, I couldn't justify buying an uncomplicated watch. Might as well top up a bit more cash and get the Royal Oak Quantième Perpetual.

Decisions, decisions.
