Two reasons for that - first, as an architect, the openworked movements have a tremendous artistic appeal to me. They are visually fascinating, like the structural / skeletal elements of a new building or home. So that has personal appeal to me. Second, I have never related to the interest in a watch to tell me the day, week, month, or year. When the day comes that I do not know these things, my wristwatch will be the last of my concerns.
I will say, on this openworked Royal Oak, I love the black hands and markers. I guess I voted for the QP as maybe this particular skeleton is not my favorite by AP.
Slowing down and consolidating, Michael is trying to do these things. At least the second part, as I am finding benefit in "two for one" type deals that net me a more spectacular watch than the two that might leave. I look forward to seeing where the dust settles on this one for you!
