Classics aside, I think newer is usually better and options make a big difference

 

The turbo is already so much more power than anyone can use and is only a tune away from more, I would go with the most optioned 991.2 turbo I could find. Extended leather, carbon illuminated doorsills, leather steering column, the more options the better. The difference between a low option and a loaded car can be night and day imho since everything is an options so make sure you're getting the options you want when comparing the .1 and .2 cars.

I haven't driven a 991.2 turbo but the difference in steering feel between the .1 and .2 GT3s was a small but noticeable improvement and the newer steering wheel is a nice plus. That and the improved nav/carplay alone would probably be enough to convince go .2, the 991.1 low res touch screen feels very dated.
